Do you often find yourself stuck among random thoughts and eventually end up being sad or frustrated? Relax, overthinking isn't a non-terminal disease. You won't die physically out of overthinking but chances are high that you may drain your soul mentally. It is a fact, we as humans, often bend our overthinkings attracting all possible negativities related to our own lives. Let's learn how can we embrace positivity via overthinkings while we are on our journey of eliminating hyper or desolate traits.

We may dig a thousand possibilities for our past event - like if I acted this way then today it would have been different. But the thing is , its past & gone. Useless to assume the thousand possibilities over a past event which you have no ability to change in the current time. What alternate you can do is , distract your mind from changing the past event into constructing more creative ideas you may use for similar events which may occur in the future.

For example, you are overthinking about a scenario where you could have spoken better words of arguments while dealing with a person and may have ended up appearing less dumb with your responses. And you wonder how that person may still be assuming you to be a coward or having no reply in defense in the argument. You become sad while thinking this event since you came up with a hundred more great arguments you could've used at that time. Now better save those new responses you worked your mind upon to handle such arguments more professionally in life ahead instead of revisiting the past event over which you have no control to create amendments.

It is often said to let go of negative traits or kill your bad habits, but I feel it is more easier to sculpt your negative traits into some positive outcomes. Killing something is not an easy and fast process. But you can turn your thoughts from the crossover towards a more productive thinking . You see , here we understood the part that overthinking isn't always in the bad frame as per majority human race curved it into one.

It's true that you have total control over your thoughts . And mind can be the most difficult war you may have your fists crossed with, at times. Refining your thoughts is a must process which should be often practised. Why? Because probably it's easier to have a verbal fight with someone else then being at a silent fight with your own mind. You should speak your mind out and clear the heaviness lying beneath. You may be out of the verbal argument, be anyone the winner. But once you get caught in a war with self, it falls into a never-ending loop. And this is the point where you drop yourself into the deep traps of poor mental health.

Usually, a person's mind wanders different places when it's absolutely free like late at night when you're struggling with your insomnia. If you are at initial stages of overthinking, then keeping yourself engaged in some productive work will keep you at par from negative overthinking. For example, if you start writing a book, in your free time your mind may wander to different places collecting ideas for the next passage of your book. Similarily, once you start vlogging or directing a film, even in the freetime you may majorly spend your overthinking over new ideas for your next plot which is again a positive & productive form of thinking.

Moreover, other section of people are those having a habit of overthinking even during an engagement of mind in some other task. That's one of the symptoms of ADHD (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). It's not only something common in children, but for adults too , it can be a good cause for not being able to stay focussed on any task at a time. Even the multitasking rules talk about being focussed at atleast one task while keeping a track of others.

It's often asked in personality quizzes , for your preferences - whether you would choose working on one task or if you can handle working on multiple tasks. Secret behind this question is they basically judge your dedication skills based on this question. Studies say our brain is more effective while concentrating on a single task at a time rather than balancing our focus over multiple tasks at a time.

Never stop believing in yourself. It's equivalent to losing your spirits. Even if you meet the dead ends in your life, keep your thoughts adrift and you'll soon be acquiring great heights once again.
